The history about the InterDelphi project
04/18/2000
The idea of transforming a Form into an HTML page started at 1997.

On 1998, I wrote the TInterLabel component based on HTML 4.0 CSS2 to position those labels. At that moment we saw that the idea was completely viable.

On 1999, I dedicated more than 8 months, and after a hard work, I had finished the first InterDelphi release. It was slow and completely protected to make it threadsafe. At that moment it was not an issued because most of the applications I was writing were CGI-Standalone.

Later, I could find a safe way to unload the ISAPI extensions without resetting the webserver. My focus went to the ISAPI extensions and several optimizations were introduced which made InterDelphi completely multithread.

InterDelphi was divided into two products: the InterDelphi Library (VCL) and the InterDelphi Manager (ISAPI extension to load/unload other extensions).

Several websites has been developed using the InterDelphi library and Manager. The current versions is very stable and our websites are running for more than 6 months without recompiling them.

Right now, we are working on the InterDelphi website and trying to finish the documentation.
